It's cloudy and depressing...not to mention all the snow. Yellowstone was awesome in what it contains...but snow depresses me. I survived but wish someone who liked snow would have been there for R to traipse around with.
On a note, Yellowstone Inn had only been open for 3 days this season when we got there. How did that happen? We have no clue how we just happened to get there then but it happened. Due to that not everything is open - like the general store probably opened yesterday - so I would recommend going a bit later in the year. The inn is open May to October and then they shut it down completely, no electricity, no plumbing, etc. No wonder it was still snowing...they were barely ready for us.
