Photos & Videos

I've started adding videos on YouTube, I hope you can see them here: The Big Trip.

Let the new state's begin...Oklahoma
Texas isn't exactly new, but its been a while.

That New Mexico sun was shining very brightly

Our first destination was Carlsbad Caverns, we made it!

The amazing view from the parking lot of the caverns. I didn't realize we'd go uphill to get down into the caverns.

The cavern entrance is a bit ominous but the walkway is paved all the way.

The "Snicker Chimi" from tiaJuana's in Roswell. R thinks I'm fattening him up because when we order these things, I can't eat much. It's bad for him because he wants to finish them!

This is me and "Tucker" - he's one of the cowboys in the Wild West Show they have before the train leaves. He came around the restaurant promoting the show. By the time the day is over, we were tipping these "cowboys"!

Can hardly ever get R to be in the pictures but I'm working on it! That's Bridal Veil Falls in the background, this is a very popular spot.

This is the Grizzly Giant...the 25th largest giant sequoia living today! It has the widest trunk of any in the grove, but it is not the tallest, that distinction goes to the Columia tree.

This is us sitting under the Grizzly Giant...we are itsy bitsy compared to this tree.

Last stop in the USOur last stop before heading into CA was the Michigan Welcome Center. A nice place with tons of pamphlets and brochures...scrapbookers heaven!

  1. That snicker was AFTER we'd started eating it...looked much better than that when we got it. LOL
