I am so thankful for second chances and today I had one in getting to see my cousin - SleepyRider - and her husband - MilitaryMan aka WhoNeedsHair.
We decided to forego breakfast this morning and thought we would get something on the road. About an hour in we realized how close we were to Leavenworth, where Sleepy lives. So R convinced me to call; I hesitated because it was kind of early. Turns out they were almost up and wanted us to come by. We got to see their beautiful home and went to the Saltine Bucket for breakfast. We even shared some of our 3,000 pictures!
We got to see a few things in Kansas too... Leavenworth Penitentiary, the soccer field and the NASCAR stadium from the distance. Quick mini-tour fun!
